Peddle Paddle
This family adventure begins in Sunriver with a mountain bike ride along the Deschutes River. Ride dirt forest road and rolling singletrack trail to spectacular viewpoints overlooking the rapids and seas of lava. If you are lucky, you may see a daring kayaker brave the class 5 descents of Benham falls. You'll appreciate the heat built up from the exercise when you get your first splash of white water as you raft the Big Eddy Thriller. Your rafting adventure continues through the beautiful Deschutes National Forest, where the flows of lava from Newberry National Volcanic Monument shaped the Deschutes River over 7000 years ago. Towering ponderosa pines and quaking aspens cover the landscape and the river otters playfully swim through this river wonderland.
