Early Opening on our 31st year of Rafting
We’re OPEN! That’s right, 80 degree temperatures and perfect water levels have allowed us to open and run our first trip on April 20th. So begins our 31st year of offering family rafting on the Deschutes, Umpqua and McKenzie rivers.
Snow packs of well over 100 inches will provide great water levels throughout the summer so don’t hesitate to make your reservations now for the upcoming season. Sun Country Wins Gold!
Once again Sun Country Raft Tours brings home some gold when Bend Living Magazine announced its top 50 list for recreation, dining, shopping etc. The readers of Bend Living voted Sun Country as “Best Raft Company” in Central Oregon, while magazine staff gave SCT the “Editors Pick” award. Congratulations to all the dedicated staff at Sun Country for their hard work and professionalism.
Graduation Gift Cards
Gift Cards from Sun Country Raft Tours are available year round, but Graduation is the perfect time to give that special student the “gift of adventure”. Gift Cards can be in any dollar amount and can be used for any of our trips or in our retail outlets. Our Bend office is open throughout the year to serve your needs. This year the Sun Country Tours Foundation will donate 10% of any graduation gift card sales to the Summit High School Athletic Field Fund. Mark your calendars. The Ten Friends Spring Celebration will be Sunday May 17, 2009 in Aspen Hall at Shevlin Park, Bend, Oregon. Former SCT guide extraordinaire Rand Runco recently returned from Nepal and will update us on the great progress being made there with the Hopeful Home Orphanage, the Himalayan Teacher Training Center, water filter installations, and some new projects designed to improve health and education in rural villages in the Bhotia region. Great food, drink and entertainment have made this event a favorite among Central Oregon locals.
